DeLay: 'Hillary Will Be the Next President'

Former House Majority Leader Tom DeLay said today that Sen. Hillary Clinton (D.-N.Y.) would be elected president in 2008 and would probably tap Senate colleague Barack Obama (D.-Ill.) as her running mate.

"Former US president Bill Clinton had some pointed advice on Wednesday for his wife, US senator Hillary Clinton: first get re-elected in November, only then start thinking about the White House."

Who could have possibly predicted this? A Clinton is avoiding looking forward to a race for the Oval Office because of their loyalty to their state! Rejoice in the brutal honesty of this not at all redundant or empty promise.

More to follow.

Hillary Gains Cold, Hard Endorsement From Janet Jackson

"Hillary Clinton as president -- that would be great," Jackson said in an interview with German press agency DPA Monday. "Then she could show all those people who wouldn't trust a woman with such a job."

Well we might as well call the election now. Smart words from a woman of unquestionable repute.

Friends of Hillary Hint She May Pull Out of Race (Article)

"Despite her status as the runaway frontrunner for the 2008 Democratic nomination for president, some of her closest advisers say she might opt out of the White House race and seek to lead her party in the Senate."

This article, though most likely spin created by the Hillary Machine, highlights the need for Hillary to remove herself from the debate as to whether she will serve out her Senate term if she is "reluctantly requested to run for President by her Democratic constituency." I would look for a great deal more of this type of talk to come out of Hillary's camp in the next two months.

By Making My Job This Easy, She is Putting Me Out of One

Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton said Thursday she hopes America is ready for its first woman president.
"It just depends on when and if that happens," the former first lady said. "Stay tuned." ARTICLE

This is a very clever ploy by the junior senator from New York (But by no means the most clever she has been). By delivering an address endorsing an "imaginary" woman for president while standing in front of the Woman's Hall of Fame in Seneca Falls, Hillary is slowly removing herself from a problem Bill had to overcome in 1992. Namely, she is making no promises to the state of New York that she will fulfill her service to which she was elected. This will allow her to more easily pursue the Democratic nomination in 2008.

Clinton and Giuliani Lead 2008 Presidential Polls

A Hillary-Rudy race would be amazing. Hillary's New York constituency would be completely undermined with a Guiliani nomination. This would immediately put her on the defensive, unable to spend resources on the swing and moderate red states because she would be too preoccupied defending the traditionally blue states of New Jersey, New York, and Connecticut.

In my opinion, the Mayor remains invincible in New York City. I have always believed that by leaving office after his term ended following 9/11 he became the nation's only hero immortalized by the tragedy. After leaving his post as public servant he lost the ability to be "humanized," or reduced to the sum of his unpopular actions.

Also, keep an eye out for Hillary's likely front page appearances in the national press in the near future. I'm guessing at least three appearances in the next two weeks.
